About us

Old world Italian pizza, bread, pasta, and more!

Owner-Owner Salvatore was raised on Arthur Ave in the Bronx, New York — the heart of Little Italy — where every corner carried the smell of fresh bread, simmering sauce, and Sunday dinners shared with family.

Growing up in a Sicilian household, meals were more than something you ate; they were moments of connection, celebration, and love passed down from one generation to the next.

Those roots and memories are at the heart of everything we do. From the recipes we honor to the warm, easygoing atmosphere we’ve created, our goal is simple: to make every guest feel like they’re sitting at our family table. With deep respect for tradition, quality ingredients, and the old-school hospitality we grew up with, we’re proud to share a little piece of our upbringing and culture with our community every day.

At Calogero’s,  our dough and bread are made in-house daily using lievito madre and a slow 48-hour fermentation process, giving every pizza and loaf a thoughtful foundation rooted in old-world tradition.

We also craft specialty breads, traditional pastries, and house-made panettone with the same care and respect for the recipes and techniques passed down through generations.

More than a place to eat, Calogero’s is a reflection of where we come from — built on heritage, hospitality, and the belief that the most meaningful moments in life are shared around the table.

At Calogero's, we focus on delivering top-notch cuisine by prioritizing quality and culinary traditions. With a commitment to ongoing education and skill development, we ensure an authentic dining experience for every customer. Our artisanal pizzas and bread are meticulously crafted using handmade dough that undergoes a 48-hour fermentation process before transforming into delectable delights.

Meet the Chef

My name is Salvatore, I am the owner of Calogero's. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY "Little Italy" area, 1st generation Italian-American. My parents are from the Southern part of Italy, my late father Calogero was from Sicilia.

Like most Italians, I grew up submerged in our culture where food was always a major influencer. All of my best memories are surrounded by loved ones sharing a delicious meal.

I have an undergrad and graduate degrees and gained a lot of life experience, some that have taken me around the world! Along my journeys, food and culture development have always been a passion of mine.

I am so humbled by all the love and support I've received from family, friends and the community. Thank you deeply, for allowing me to peruse a passion & vision.

I look forward to sharing a good meal with you all!
